An event not to be missed.
Some of the best musicians in Latvia will gather together in the luxurious Splendid Palace hall to perform compositions by a Pop-Soul singer with a unique, deep, sensual and at the same time driving vocal – Jussendo. Among her creative achievements is the title of laureate of the New Wave competition, in which she represented Latvia under the auspices of Raimonds Pauls.
Her style of performing songs is often compared to such world stars as Joss Stone and Diana Krall. Jussendo's bright and juicy vocals will not leave you indifferent and will bring true pleasure to all musical gourmets.
The concert will feature famous Latvian musicians, including saxophonist and crowd favorite Raivo Stashans, as well as a special guest of the evening - the fiery African-American bass guitarist and singer James Werts (USA).
For the first time, you will be able to hear songs from the debut album “Favourite of mine”, the author and composer of which is Jussendo herself. The album was recorded in the Latvian Radio studio with the participation of such masters of jazz and pop music as Artis Orubs, Jānis Kalnins, Edvins Ozols and Raimonds Macats. Also, the legendary Rich Keller (USA), who collaborates with world-class musicians, took part in the final arrangement of the compositions.
In Jussendo's songs you can hear influences from various musical styles, which are traditionally considered the embodiment of stylistic sophistication. A competent combination of styles such as soul, funk, jazz, reggae raises Jussendo’s creativity to the heights of spiritual pleasure and helps not to forget about simple joys and human experiences.
The melodic songs of Jussendo will be complemented by spectacular video projections that reflect the mood of each composition, and the graceful lyrical ballads presented in the program will add a touch of relaxation and philosophical contemplation.
After the concert, we meet at the after-party at the Friends club at 23.00, where you will also find musical surprises from the concert participants. With concert tickets, admission to the Friends club is free.
