When she isn't writing, Sylvie passes the time spying on the apartments across the street. It's remarkably easy when you have a telescope.

At first, watching her unsuspecting neighbors seems like nothing more than a harmless pastime. Until one day, her gaze lingers on a single apartment. A love triangle is taking shape there, and the relationships between its three participants are growing increasingly tense and tangled.

Sensing the long-awaited plot for her next novel, Sylvie, without a second thought, turns her neighbors into fictional characters. At first, it feels like an amusing game—after all, she believes she is nothing more than an unseen observer.

But curiosity soon ceases to be harmless, and a mysterious young stranger appears in her apartment.

Consumed by a destructive obsession, Sylvie has no idea how dangerous her desire for a shocking ending to her new novel will become.

The rules of the game change, erasing the line between fiction and reality. What follows is an irreversible chain of revelations. Sylvie loses control of her own story. But who is its author now?
