Aminata releases album “Liela Meitene” and prepares for a concert at Palladium Riga

Singer and songwriter Aminata presents her most personal record to date, the studio album “Liela Meitene”, marking a new chapter in her artistic journey. Alongside the album’s release, Aminata invites listeners to a grand solo concert “Liela Meitene”, which will take place on November 1 at Palladium Riga. Tickets available via Biļešu Serviss.

“Liela Meitene is my path both as a woman and as an artist. This album is a story about growth, inner courage, and self-acceptance. While writing it, I didn’t censor myself – I allowed every feeling and experience to flow freely. After finishing it, I felt that everything I had wanted to say has finally been said,” shares Aminata.

The roots of the album trace back to 2022, during a songwriting camp where Aminata, ansis, and Kristaps Ērglis created the song “Liela Meitene” – a track that later became the heart and title inspiration of the album. “At first, I felt like the phrase ‘liela meitene’ didn’t suit me. But soon I realized it symbolized a new chapter in my life – and everything happening around me confirmed that this title truly belongs to me,” she adds.

The album was created in close collaboration with JJ Lush (Jānis Jačmenkins), DJ Rudd (Rūdolfs Budze), Kristaps Ērglis, ansis, and Zeļģis, with contributions from Kaspars Vizulis, Toms Kursītis, and the Riga Red Choir. The album’s visual identity was developed by Kristaps Deičs, Jānis Jēkabsons, and Elizabete Ezergaile.

“Each song is like a fragment of my life – my experiences and emotions, from the darkest moments to those where light breaks through. I hope this album offers support and inspiration to anyone searching for their own light,” Aminata adds.

Preparations are now in full swing for the “Liela Meitene” concert on November 1 at Palladium Riga. Aminata and her team are working intensively on the stage design, choreography, and other surprises to let the audience experience her musical world in an entirely new way.
