Hokeja Pavasaris VEF KVARTĀLĀ

At VEF Promenade, Ūnijas Street 8, Riga, from May 16 to May 26, “Hockey Spring at VEF KVARTĀLS” will take place. Admission to the event is free of charge.

Through Biļešu Serviss, visitors can reserve tables in two areas – VEF Summer Terrace and VEF Promenade. Each table comfortably accommodates 6 to 8 people.

This year as well, we have made sure that visitors can enjoy the hockey experience comfortably in all weather conditions, watching the games on several large screens both under the roof at VEF Summer Terrace and outdoors at VEF Promenade while enjoying the spring atmosphere.

The live hockey broadcasts will be complemented by a food court area for food lovers, safe and exciting activities for all generations – including the youngest fans, as well as the VEF Bar, offering refreshing drinks. Fans will also be entertained and united in song by Rūdolfs Kugrēns, who will challenge visitors with clever contests during game intermissions.

After each Latvia national team game, experienced sports industry experts and hosts of the FaceOff podcast – Edgars Masaļskis, Toms Prāmnieks, and Kaspars Dvinskis – will take the stage at VEF Summer Terrace to analyze the Latvian team’s performance on the ice.

We invite visitors to park their cars in the EuroPark parking lots located within the VEF KVARTĀLS territory, or to use the free parking area – Parking Lot C (on the Maxima side) at TC DOMINA, which will remain open for exit towards Ieriķu Street and Bērzaunes Street until 1:00 AM.

As part of our commitment to environmentally friendly events, a deposit cup system will operate at VEF KVARTĀLS bars.

The VEF KVARTĀLS summer event program is implemented with the support of the Riga State City Municipality Education, Culture and Sports Department project No. DIKS-24-24-nos “Co-financing for the support of creative quarters and territories and the core activities of professional non-governmental cultural organizations.”

The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be the 90th Ice Hockey World Championship. It will take place from May 15 to May 31, 2026, in the Swiss cities of Zurich and Fribourg. The host cities were selected during the International Ice Hockey Federation Congress in Finland.

Permission for the public screening of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship games has been granted by Latvian Television.
