On September 19 at 19:00, a new meeting from the series of public discussions on the

YouTube channel “Philosophy on Water” will be held with Viktor Shenderovich. The topic

for communication with the audience is based on a quote from Mayakovsky's poem “Who

hasn't philosophized over the sea?” Shenderovich, a satirical writer, publicist, playwright,

and public figure, invites the audience to join in philosophizing.

“For the last quarter of a century, strangers have been taking me by the sleeve and

starting to talk about Putin — apparently believing that it pleases me. But there is much

beyond that... I would be glad to breathe in and out a little with those who will come to this

evening: to read some poems (not my own), to remember some people, to reflect... Maybe

it will somehow get into politics, but very indirectly,” Viktor Shenderovich suggests the

format of the meeting. “Not a lecture, but a lyrical meeting. After all, the shore of the Gulf of

Riga is the summer home of my childhood”.
