On February 28, MASA jazz club hosts pianist Tuomo Uusitalo and singer Thilia Tamminen with their newly released album 'I Wonder' – a collection of originals, derived and influenced by the Great American Songbook and sung in three different languages: English, Swedish and Finnish.
Thilia Tamminen is a Finnish vocalist, whose expertise expands over many fields in art; she is a singer, composer and music educator, as well as an actor, producer and a writer. Her work in the music field covers different styles and ensembles, from a cappella and choir work to R&B, pop and jazz.
Tuomo Uusitalo is an award-winning pianist, composer, and arranger with extensive experience in the New York jazz circuit. He has released six albums as a leader and appeared on numerous recordings as a sideman, developing a recognizable, musically mature, and nuanced style.
