SABATON ''The Legendary Tour''
Heavy metal titans Sabaton will bring their spectacular The Legendary Tour 2027 to Unibet Arena in Tallinn on May 7, 2027. Joined by the specially created The Legendary Orchestra, the Swedish powerhouse promises a larger-than-life production celebrating the heroes, battles, and stories that have defined their remarkable career. Known for transforming military history into thunderous anthems, Sabaton’s return to Estonia is set to be one of the biggest metal events of the year.
Founded in Falun, Sweden in 1999, Sabaton have spent more than a quarter of a century building a unique place in the global metal landscape. Across eleven studio albums, including their latest release “Legends” (2025), the band has turned real historical events and larger-than-life figures into powerful songs that resonate with millions of fans worldwide. Their music has earned them Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum certifications, more than three billion streams across digital platforms, over two billion YouTube views, and a reputation as one of the hardest-working bands in heavy music.
Released in October 2025, “Legends” marked a new chapter for the band. Moving beyond their acclaimed explorations of the First and Second World Wars, the album delves into the lives of some of history’s most iconic figures, including Joan of Arc, Napoleon, Julius Caesar, Hannibal Barca, and Miyamoto Musashi. The record inspired “The Legendary Tour”, which debuted alongside The Legendary Orchestra, an ambitious concert concept developed by the band themselves.

Sabaton's dedication to historical storytelling has always been at the heart of their music. Reflecting on the origins of that approach, frontman Joakim Brodén once explained: “There are so many fantastic stories in our past that have been forgotten, so why make up new ones?” For the band, history is not simply a backdrop but a source of endlessly compelling human stories. As Brodén has also noted: “The most interesting thing about a military conflict is what it does to the human being. In such extreme circumstance, as war is, how it can bring out the best and the worst.”

That commitment to history extends far beyond the stage. In 2019, the band launched the highly successful Sabaton History Channel, a YouTube project exploring the real events behind their songs alongside historian Indy Neidell. In 2023, they became the first rock band ever to receive the prestigious Enlightener of the Year Award from the Swedish Skeptics Association, recognising their dedication to presenting historically accurate stories through music. Their global History Rocks initiative later brought museums from more than 30 territories together to celebrate and promote historical education.

Despite their remarkable achievements, Sabaton remain driven by the same passion that started the band more than two decades ago. Looking to the future, Brodén summed it up simply: “Some people ask, “When are you going to slow down?” What do you mean to slow down? I like it and this is how I want to live my life.”
