DUB FX, undoubtedly one of the most impressive and talented musicians of our time, will present live with his unique works at Tower Concert Hall on May 26, 2024.

 

DUB FX, real name Benjamin Stanford, is a prime example of how an artist can combine street art, recording and production to create stunning compositions in their own right. Using a variety of vocal methods and recording techniques, DUB FX skillfully manipulates his voice to create a multi-faceted soundscape in front of his audience.

 

In 2006, as social media was beginning to gain momentum, DUB FX decided to travel to Europe, hoping to be inspired to create new music. But his street performances thrilled passersby, drawing attention not only for his talent, but for the significant, conscious message in his songs and rhymes.  Because of this, he began selling his albums right on the street. He captured audiences emotionally and wowed them with his technical prowess.

 

Two years later, in Bristol, filmmaker Ben Dowden, known as 'BD', discovered DUB FX and filmed his performance, uploading the videos to YouTube. These videos 'Love Someone' and 'Flow' went viral, catching the attention of concert organizers from around the world.

 

Since then, DUB FX has released six albums, sold over 250,000 copies, performed at major festivals and racked up over 300 million views on YouTube - all without ever receiving a single airplay on commercial radio or television.
