Bossa Nova-Samba Night | Alise Kante Quintet

On June 12, the MASA jazz club will host the Alīse Kante Quartet concert program “Bossa Nova-Samba Evening”.

 

The program combines bossa nova, samba and jazz, creating a musical journey from the Baltics to Rio de Janeiro. The concert will feature Antônio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto’s compositions in Portuguese, jazz classics, as well as original compositions.

 

The warm vocals, the light sound of the flute, the timbre of the guitar and the pulsinng rhythm create a lively and flowing sound, combining Latin American rhythms and Latvian melodic feeling.
