Advent Jazz: Duo Tundmus Meets the Band

On 20 December, MASA continues its Advent Jazz series with “Duo Tundmus meets the Band” — a project by long-time collaborators pianist Lisanne Pappel and vocalist Gloria Elisabeth Jörberg. Formed in Estonia and further developed in the Netherlands, the duo blends the spirit of 1930s–50s traditional jazz with an Estonian sense of intimacy and lyricism — a feeling reflected in their name “Tundmus” (“sensation”,9 “emotion”).
The concert will feature American Songbook classics alongside the duo’s original music, inspired by late-night jazz clubs, Northern landscapes and the reflections of everyday life. For this special pre-holiday evening, the duo will be joined by a rhythm section, adding warmth, depth and colour to their sound.
