American industrial metal titans Fear Factory return to Europe with their "Cybernetic Domination Tour", performing on September 3 at Palladium Concert Hall alongside an impressive lineup of special guests. Joining them on stage will be Japanese metalcore band Crystal Lake, Polish extreme metal group Hate, and American dark atmospheric rock act The Nocturnal Affair.

Tickets go on sale on March 27 at 12:00 through the "Biļešu Serviss" network. Members of the Positivus Festival and FBI Concert Club will have access to a presale starting March 25 at 12:00.

For more than three decades, Fear Factory have remained one of the most important and influential bands in heavy music. Led by guitarist and co-founder Dino Cazares together with vocalist Burton C. Bell, the band developed a sound that combines industrial coldness, mechanical precision, and extreme metal aggression with a strong melodic edge. This unique blend has inspired an entire generation. As Metal Hammer once wrote, "Fear Factory introduced an entirely new direction in metal that still sounds relevant today."

The band was formed in early 1990s Los Angeles, at a time when social tension and rapid technological development created fertile ground for new ideas. From the very beginning, Fear Factory explored the relationship between humans and technology in both their music and visual identity, creating a dark, dystopian vision of the future. Cazares' precise guitar work, combined with Bell's contrasting vocals, ranging from brutal growls to melodic passages, raised the question of whether this was still human-made music or something beyond. Among their influences, alongside heavy music contemporaries, Fear Factory have cited Paul McCartney from "The Beatles" and "Wings", as well as Black Sabbath's 1970s albums. As a notable compliment, Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward once said in an interview on VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" that Fear Factory is one of the bands he would personally like to play in.

One of the band's cornerstone releases is "Demanufacture", which Kerrang! described as "still sounding as fresh and devastating as it did upon release". It was followed by albums such as "Obsolete", "Digimortal", and "Genexus", while their latest release, "Aggression Continuum", marks a new chapter in the band's evolution. As Cazares explains, it represents "the moment when the past transforms into the future", a natural continuation of the sound and ideas developed over three decades. This evolution has also been shaped by lineup changes, including a new vocalist. With Milo Silvestro now taking over vocal duties, Fear Factory bring renewed energy and a fresh perspective to both their sound and live performances.

Fear Factory concerts are known for their intense energy, flawless precision, and immersive atmosphere. They offer an audiovisual experience that leaves no one indifferent. The "Cybernetic Domination Tour" promises a setlist that combines the band's most popular tracks with newer material, delivering a show that will resonate with both long-time fans and a new generation of listeners.

The set will focus on the musical material from the band's first two albums "Placebo" and "Without You I'm Nothing", which many critics and fans consider to be the band's most creatively attractive.

Nancy Boy, Teenage Angst, 36 Degrees, Every You Every Me, Pure Morning, You Don't Care About Us, Without You I'm Nothing are the pieces that so directly, poignantly, provocatively addressed thousands back then and now form a significant part of Placebo's golden hit fund.

Wednesday, March 25th, from 11AM only for www.ltips.lv subscribers

From Friday, March 27th, 11AM – general sale

In the mid-90s, Britpop dominated Britain, and Placebo burst into this environment like a draft through a wide-open balcony door. Teenage maximalism, provocative directness, the boundaries of flowing sexuality, mental health, intoxicating substances – the lyrics openly discussed everything that was certainly relevant to young people, but did not dominate the pop music of the time.

Recalling that period, the band's frontman Brian Molko especially emphasizes the song Nancy Boy:

“We were reacting very strongly against the machismo, terrace chants and revisionism of Britpop, and the nationalism that we interpreted as xenophobia of the musical kind. We were trying to make a strong political statement about the fluidity of sexuality with the dresses and make-up that we wore. We set out to confuse, and I guess Nancy Boy was the perfect soundtrack to that.”

Brian Molko's provocatively ambiguous androgynous image added fuel to the rumors and judgments. But the gold status of his debut album "Placebo" and the platinum status of their second album "Without You I'm Nothing" - confirmed sales of more than a million copies - clearly proofed that a new bright star had appeared in the sky of alternative rock.

Celebrating the third decade of their debut, a special remastered version of the album, "Placebo RE:CREATED", is available to pre-order from March 18th. The new record features reworked and embellished versions of all ten tracks from the original album plus two bonus tracks from the original release, capturing the way these songs have evolved across decades of performance while retaining the raw spirit that defined them. These new recordings amplify the urgency and attitude that made the originals resonate so strongly, while reflecting the band’s growth and experience in the years since their debut. Speaking about the new record, Placebo explain:

“We think of this record as a director’s cut. We haven’t recreated it from scratch. We went back to the original master tapes and brought 30 years of playing these songs live back into the record.

This project was about finally finishing the record, dragging it into the 21st century sonically, while preserving the integrity and the spirit of the original. It’s not about improving it, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s about completing it.

Placebo was founded in 1994, when singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Molko met guitarist and keyboardist Stefan Olsdal and the duo is still the constant core of the band.

Placebo are one of the defining alternative rock bands of the past 30 years, with 14 million albums sold to date worldwide. All 8 of the band's studio albums have reached at least the top 20 of the UK charts. 15 of their singles have reached at least the top 40. During their career, the band's musicians have gone on several sold large-scale concert tours, performed headline slots at prestigious festivals on both sides of the Atlantic, and have received acclaim from both critics and fans.

With precisely this musical signature, five-time Grammy Award winners Snarky Puppy return to the Palladium concert hall on September 7 after a two-year break. In today’s jazz fusion landscape, the ensemble is regarded as one of the genre’s key reference points, and their performances around the world draw large audiences, as proven during their previous visit to Riga, when concert tickets sold out within just a few days.

The group’s origins date back to 2004, when bassist and composer Michael League formed it as a collective of like-minded musicians from the University of North Texas jazz studies program. Their quiet beginnings were followed by a decisive turning point, an encounter with the gospel and R&B scene in Dallas, where Snarky Puppy’s sound gained new colors, becoming groovier, more direct, and more emotionally charged. It was during this period that the group’s core lineup took shape: Robert "Sput" Searight on drums, Bobby Sparks on keyboards, and the late Shaun Martin on keyboards.

Snarky Puppy’s musical thinking is rooted in a dialogue between tradition and the present. Their creative language draws from funk, rhythm and blues, jazz and fusion, the emotional intensity of gospel, the depth of soul, and the energy of rock, yet these elements never become ends in themselves. "Snarky Puppy has always been a band where the most important thing is the music," emphasizes Michael. It is not a jazz band in the classical sense, nor a "fusion" group, and certainly not a "jam band." As New York Times journalist Nate Chinen aptly put it, "Take them for what they are, rather than judge them for what they’re not."

Their latest album "Somni", which also lends its name to the upcoming tour, was created in collaboration with Metropole Orkest, a Netherlands-based ensemble known for bridging jazz, classical, and popular music. Although the album is entirely instrumental, it stands out for its deeply emotional language. Each composition explores a facet of the dream state, shifting identity, surreal logic, the fragile illusion of intimacy, and the peculiar emotional traces that linger after waking.

Snarky Puppy’s concert in Riga will be a true event for jazz lovers, both those just beginning their journey into jazz and seasoned listeners alike. It will be an opportunity to experience live one of the most significant ensembles in contemporary jazz, whose musicianship is grounded in exceptional technical mastery and precise interplay. This is music that unites complex form with direct expression and speaks to the listener without pretense.

Beloved around the world for his voice, soul, and stories, singer, songwriter, and pianist John Legend needs no lengthy introduction. His songs have soundtracked thousands of love stories, marked life-changing moments, and offered warmth and comfort in times when the world felt too heavy. Now, fans in Estonia will have the rare chance to experience the man behind the music up close, as John Legend brings his “An Evening of Songs & Stories” to Tartu Song Festival Grounds on July 8, 2026.

Tickets go on sale on February 12 at 10:00 via the Biļešu Serviss network. Members of the Positivus Festival and FBI Concert Club will have access to a presale in all price categories starting February 11 at 10:00, using a code sent to registered users.

This evening promises to be a deeply personal musical narrative, a journey woven from songs, memories and candid reflections that allows the audience to feel especially close to the artist. Through the most significant songs of his career and intimate stories, John Legend will look back on a path that began in small churches and recording studios and, through perseverance and belief, led him to the world’s most prestigious stages.

Born John Roger Stephens, John Legend’s journey in music began quietly, playing piano on Lauryn Hill’s song "Everything Is Everything" and singing backing vocals on recordings by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. A defining breakthrough came with his 2004 debut album "Get Lifted" and its standout track "Ordinary People", which immediately set itself apart with its stripped back piano sound and disarmingly honest lyrics, a stark contrast to the chart trends of the time. "I always felt my job wasn’t to sound like everyone else. People told me this song made them stop, because it was so different," Legend has reflected.

Beyond music, John Legend has appeared in film, performed on Broadway, taken part in television projects and achieved the prestigious EGOT status, a testament to his remarkable creative range. Yet despite countless accolades, the connection with his audience has always remained paramount. "It feels like my purpose in life is to lift people up," he once said, a sentiment that resonates especially strongly in a concert built around shared listening and storytelling.

Known for his rare ability to transform even the largest venues into intimate spaces, John Legend’s "An Evening of Songs & Stories" on July 8, 2026 in Tartu promises a thoughtful, warm and profoundly human concert experience, where music, memory and storytelling merge into one unforgettable whole.

Multidisciplinary artist Joost Klein (also known as JOOST) stands out with his bold and playful creative signature. His energetic sound blends mainstream pop, happy hardcore, and wild punk influences, creating a vivid and unpredictable artistic identity. In his music, Joost speaks openly about personal experiences and struggles, including the loss of his parents at a young age, and candidly addresses his battles with mental health challenges. He transforms sadness into euphoria, reminding us that we are all only human.

Throughout his career, Joost Klein has collaborated with several prominent and internationally recognized artists, including Finnish sensation Käärijä, Estonian provocateur Tommy Cash, and Canadian rapper bbno$, further cementing his position at the forefront of Europe’s alternative pop culture.

Joost Klein’s path to recognition began as a YouTube content creator under the name EenhoornJoost. He published videos in various formats — from short, absurd sketches to mini-documentaries offering a glimpse into his private life. In 2016, Joost released his debut short-format album (EP) “Dakloos”, after which he fully committed to a career in music.

Three-time BAFTA TV Award winner, hailed by “The Times” as “the funniest man in Britain” and star of his own Netflix specials – Mo Gilligan – will bring his brand-new comedy show “The Mo You Know” to Riga next year. The acclaimed comedian and showman has already sold out multiple tours across the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and of course his home country, the UK. The performance will take place on 14 November 2026 at Palladium Riga.

The Mo You Know follows Mo Gilligan’s string of career successes and hugely popular Netflix stand-up specials. His 2022 release “There’s Mo To Life” and his debut “Momentum”—streamed in 190 countries including Latvia—showcase Mo’s big-hearted approach to comedy: nobody in this world is truly bad; we all make ourselves into loveable fools from time to time as we try to deal with life’s everyday challenges.
Born in London to Jamaican parents, Mo masterfully captures the multicultural spirit of contemporary Britain in his shows—recounting hilarious situations with warmth and affection, while referencing world-famous names like Shakira, Bukayo Saka, Stormzy, Jay-Z, and Kanye West. With tenderness, he weaves these personalities into awkward, relatable, and universally recognizable moments from everyday life. At the same time, Mo guides his audiences through the absurdities of the entertainment industry, which he has experienced first-hand while building a dazzling career from humble beginnings in Europe’s fiercely competitive arts scene.
“The Mo You Know” is a unique opportunity for Latvian audiences and stand-up fans to enjoy an unforgettable night of comedy.
