In July charming LP returns with a special concert in Sigulda

On July 2nd one of the most extraordinary contemporary indie and pop-rock artists LP or Laura Pergolizzi will perform in castle of Sigulda.
The solo concert of this artist at the Arena Riga in last December was very actively attended and afterwards the public space was flooded by reviews full of enthusiasm.

Therefore the next step seemed to be logical: to invite the artist to visit Latvia again just in full mature of summer and outside the capital's bustle. One should agree, that it'd be hardly possible to find even more suitable site than Sigulda Castle ruins, which are surrounded by medieval spirit and the magnificent Gauja valley.

LP's self-written massive hit Lost On You, which has almost 200 million views on YouTube, brought her a worldwide fame and making it one of today's pop music phenomena.
But she has a number of other wonderful pieces, just to name few ones, like Tokyo Sunrise, Into The Wild, Tightrope, Muddy Waters, Someday, Other People, Strange, Don’t Let Me Down, Night Like This and many more.

Born in Long Island, New York, in Italian-American family, LP showed her talent early in childhood, but as she was too shy about her powerful voice, so she sang over a noise of a vacuum cleaner. She gradually learned to play guitar, ukulele and harmonica. Now a play of ukulele and whistling, which strikingly complements the compositions, both have become LP's signature.

But the road to fame was long enough and complicated. For a certain time she was writing songs to other famous artists (Rihanna, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, etc.) and refused to follow the suggestions of the producers and step-by-step creating her own career. Since 2001 there have been released total 4 studio albums. The latest one “Lost On You” with its title track swiftly brought LP a world recognition. It reached number one in 8 countries, among which there are France, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, etc. The hit achieved even triple Platinum status in Italy.

When reviewing her recent tour, www.theupcoming.co.uk doesn't hide its admire: “There’s no escaping her rich and textured performance as she sings about forgiveness, love and morality. Throughout the artist’s set the quality and variety she employs with her voice is impressive. She dips into different styles and facilitates them with ease. From rock, shrill falsetto, whistling, soft balladry, to lung-busting belters, LP’s exceptional voice is exhibited and uninhibited, and it’s enchanting to watch. Understandably, the crowd love her. “

Ticket pre-sales start on Friday, May 11th, 10 AM at all “Biļešu serviss” sales points and on www.bilesuserviss.lv network.
